Abstract:

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) are now applied in wide spans of areas such as transportation, infrastructure, defense, manufacturing process, etc. In this paper, architecture of cyber-physical production system (CPPS) is proposed to provide an adaptive and autonomous system in machining line. Through this CPPS, tool wear and breakage monitoring can be held, as well as surface roughness monitoring. Some preliminary examples are presented.
