Abstract:
A mobility behavior change support system, Blaze, is deployed among the students of a university in the Philippines. This is implemented as a travel demand management measure in a university setting. Blaze is developed based on the stage model of self-regulated behavior change theory. Our analysis shows that Blaze is able to induce a positive change across a wide range of indicators, as specified by the theory: car use, stage membership and intentions. We discuss implications of our results, especially on the development of interventions and transport policies for cases in developing countries.
