Abstract:

This paper proposed new design of triangular microstrip antenna using slit technique fed by coplanar waveguide to enhanced bandwidth for mobile communication purposes. Antenna designed using FR4 substrate with value (εr) = 4.3, substrate thickness (h) of 1.6 mm and loss tangent (tan δ) of 0.0265. From the simulation result shown return loss of -19.57 dB and VSWR 1.242 at work of frequency of 1800 MHz can be achieved by controlling the height of slit L1 and L2. Bandwidth of proposed antenna is 315 MHz which equal to an increase 61.53 % compared to the conventional triangular microstrip antenna and also the dimension of antenna can be reduced until 32.57 %.
