Abstract:

The goal of the paper is in determining the characteristics of relations between security databases (databases of vulnerabilities, attacks, platforms, weaknesses etc.) to apply the ontological approach for construction of a hybrid security repository. The paper analyzes various security data specifications used in databases and interconnections between different data types. On the basis of the outlined relations we propose a common ontology. This model is intended to construct the hybrid repository. The comparison with existing research on security ontology is provided as well as the advantages of the proposed approach are outlined.
