A review of research on electric vehicle charging facilities planning in China

With the development of Chinese economy and society, energy security and environmental pollution problems in China have become increasingly prominent, developing electric vehicles rapidly has become a national strategic choice. A perfect charging facilities system is an important guarantee for the rapid development of electric vehicles, and charging facilities planning is an important part of the development at this stage. This paper introduced the developing status of electric vehicle charging facilities in China. Then, it summarized nine factors which affected electric vehicle charging facilities planning in China and the corresponding planning method. Finally, the paper analysed the next research on charging facilities planning in China could be combined with distributed power, smart grid and intelligent transportation.
