Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a new Super Wide Band (SWB) antenna with very large bandwidth. The antenna has a rectangular patch, 50 Ω microstrip feed line and partial ground plane with three round grooves to enhance the bandwidth. The characteristics of the designed structure are investigated using high frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and computer simulation technology softwares (CST). The achieved percentage bandwidth of the proposed design with return loss RL ≥ 10 dB is over 175%. Promising peak gain with good impedance matching and omni-directional radiation pattern are obtained.
