Abstract:
The paper presents an original approach for the cytostatic solution temperature modeling and control. In order to determine a mathematical model with high level of validity for the heating process, an original experimental identification procedure is applied, based on fractional-order operators. The main advantages of the resulted model are highlighted in the paper in a comparative manner with some models obtained through classical procedures. The controller tuning is made both considering a simple feedback structure and considering an Internal Model Control strategy. Also, both classical and fractional-order forms of the controller are determined. As a research conclusion, the control structure and the controller which generate the best performance are selected in order to be implemented in an innovative Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotheraphy equipment.
