Abstract:
The author calculates line ratings by quantifying the risks associated with given load currents, having regard to the random nature of weather parameters. Probabilistic ratings are defined as the constant load currents corresponding to a given probability, in terms of cumulated frequency, of not exceeding the design temperature.<>
