Abstract:

The integration of Blockchain technology with the Internet of Things (IoT) provides a robust solution to address security, privacy, and scalability challenges in traditional IoT systems. Centralized architectures often suffer from single points of failure and vulnerabilities to unauthorized data access. Blockchain's decentralized, tamper-resistant nature enhances data integrity, trust, and authentication, offering a secure framework for IoT communications and data management. This paper presents a comprehensive framework combining Blockchain and IoT, outlining key architectural components, data protocols, and smart contracts. It explores how Blockchain addresses privacy concerns while improving decentralized trust and system resilience. Scalability challenges are analyzed, with solutions such as Layer 2 technologies and optimized consensus mechanisms proposed to improve performance. Real-world applications in smart cities, healthcare, and supply chains demonstrate the framework's utility. Experimental analysis highlights significant improvements in security and efficiency, emphasizing Blockchain's potential to enable secure, scalable IoT ecosystems for diverse industries.
