Abstract:
An integral part of the education of first-year students at the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Óbuda University is the foundation course Electricity, which consists of lectures, classroom exercises and laboratory exercises. Curriculum F was introduced at the University in autumn 2023, with the renewal of several subjects and their corresponding topics. The laboratory part of Electricity was no exception. Practice-oriented education is a fundamental pillar of our university and is of great importance for both students and teachers. Therefore, in the Electricity laboratory, the aim was to develop and design an environment and the infrastructure necessary to carry out the measurements that would help students to complete the course. One phase of this is the technical renovation of the laboratory and another is the modernisation of the measurements and instrumentation. In this article, I describe the steps in this process, from design to implementation, and I also look at the possibilities for future improvements and student feedback on the work I have done.
