Abstract:
The amount of data created has increased exponentially as a result of the widespread use of IoT devices. While much of this data processing is done on the cloud, certain applications require quick responses. Fog computing acts as a bridge between IoT and cloud computing to meet this need. It is located in the periphery of cloud data centres. In this instance, resource allocation depends on workload management, also known as load balance. It makes ensuring a fair distribution of tasks easier. Several studies have been conducted on the application of efficient load balancing algorithms in fog computing settings. This study provides a thorough analysis of load balancing algorithms specifically made for fog computing, taking into account the importance of load balancing by using three parameters namely, Cost of Execution, Network Usage and Application loop delay.
