Abstract:

Usually, beam-forming network synthesis requires good isolation between antenna elements, otherwise the radiation patterns will become deteriorated. To solve this problem, this paper proposed a novel 2×6 beamforming network topology for shaping flat-topped radiation patterns. Results show that the network can realize the beamforming function by adjusting the design parameters of the numerical method when the isolation between the antenna elements is -20 dB and -15 dB.
