Chapter Abstract:

Summary The Internet of Things (IoT) is a cutting‐edge technology in today's transformative age of Industry 4.0. While the IoT and its applications are expanding and improving, there is still opportunity for growth in the areas of social support and technological progress. The IoT‐integrated smart home system is increasing in popularity every day since it helps to minimize human workload and makes life easier. The system must be updated and restored since it increases home security and safety while facilitating daily life. The automatic and electronic management of domestic tasks, activities, and equipment is known as home automation. The most advanced technology of the current generation is found in Android devices. Therefore, an IoT‐integrated home automation with smart security system has been implemented to enable us to control, monitor, and provide a smart security system that may serve as an example of the advancement of IoT technology with just the assistance of a smartphone. The system connects electrical devices via hardware, connection, and software interfaces to construct an automated house with smart security. This prototype will benefit the elderly, children, and those with disabilities. It will also provide a security system to aid everyone using it. This prototype intends to modernize IoT security with a smart door lock system, CCTV monitoring at the door, and gas or fire detection by alerting the homeowner. A voice‐activated home automation system allows users to control various electronic devices. It helps the 21st century, also known as the “Industry 4.0” era, which conceptualizes the rapid change in technology, industries, and societal patterns and processes that occurred in the 21st century due to increasing interconnection and smart automation, and provides security by detecting an unplanned activity. Measures that can be taken by a store owner to deter a fraudulent activity include an electronic door lock system with a six‐digit keypad which al...
