Abstract:

In this paper, an electrical vehicle battery charger based on interleaved ZETA converter is analyzed with performance parameters. In recent era, Electrical Vehicles are better alternative to internal combustion (ICE) based vehicles and electrical vehicles (EVs) are greener mode of transport for people. So there is increase in use of Electrical Vehicle (EV) as per global demand. The need of battery charger for electrical vehicle in either case on-board or off-board is essential. The electrical vehicle charger produces certain impact on utility system from where it is supplied energy. In this study, the Interleaved ZETA converter is used which supplies the required DC voltage as L1 level charger to the Electrical Vehicle Battery. The ZETA converter has low ripple content and non-inversion voltage at output side. The proposed topology of interleaved converter is analyzed with performance parameters through simulation carried out in MATLAB Simulink.
