Abstract:
The fundamentals of a low pass filter of the first order. The removal of high frequency noise from an audio signal may be accomplished with the assistance of low pass filters, which have widespread use in the field of audio processing. They are also employed in communication systems to eliminate high frequency noise from the signal that is being delivered, which makes it simpler for the receiver to interpret the information. A low-pass filter is a kind of frequencyselective filter that lets signals with frequencies below a predetermined cutoff frequency through while weakening sounds with higher frequencies. The filter's design has a significant role in determining its unique frequency response. One parameter that describes the speed with which a firstorder, linear-time invariant responds to a step input is the time constant. It is denoted by the Greek letter (tau), which is also the name of the parameter. In most cases, it is similar to the amount of time required for a certain parameter to change by a factor of 1e-1. The first step of filtration is mechanical, followed by chemical, and then finally biological.
