Abstract:
This paper proposes a non-line-of-sight Ultra-Wideband (UWB) tag positioning method using the channel’s Time of Flight and Direction of Arrival. The mobile terminal continuously observes channels from a UWB tag while moving straightly in an environment where a UWB tag is stably placed behind an obstacle. The simulation result using the ray-trace method shows that the proposed method could estimate the UWB tag position with the accuracy of 1.0 m and 3.6 m at the 75 percentiles for no reflection and five times reflection cases, respectively.
