Abstract:
Spatial form, land use, industrial layout, population distribution and transport structure are all simultaneously undergoing major changes, adjustments and continuous evolution so programs can be provided that enable traffic control and management. By knowing the condition of the roads and using technology (V2I), traffic conditions can be facilitated for drivers and passengers. The aim of this research is to estimate the best time for passenger movement between stations to improve the public transport traffic system of Zanjan city based on the communication architecture of the intelligent roadside transport subsystem. By examining the data received from Zanjan municipality and by using the equations to estimate the best time for passenger movement between stations, by setting up the RSU infrastructure in Zanjan city, it is possible to obtain the estimation of the best time for passenger movement between stations to be about 5.97 minutes, which is equal to 33.7% reduction in time.
