Abstract:

A flexible wearable antenna is designed for body worn or integrated into clothing, accessories, or other wearable devices. It offers the advantage of conforming to the shape of the body or the wearable object, allowing for comfortable and unobtrusive use. These antennas are typically lightweight, thin, and made of flexible materials such as conductive textiles, polymers, or other flexible substrates. The proposed octagonal flexible antenna uses denim substrate having slot width of 1 mm and length of 1 mm and designed for the frequency of UWB works in frequency of 3.1 GHz to 10.5 GHz, it has better gain directivity and flexibility. In existing method the reflection loss is –20.58 dB, gain is 2.03 dB and directivity is 1.73dB. After changing the substrate to denim and changing the patch to octagon with increased radius, the return loss is -24.45 dB, VSWR is 1.1, the gain is 3.50 dB, directivity 2.51 dB of a unit cell. After creating the array of proposed UWB antenna there is an improvement in the reflection coefficient of -33.47 dB, VSWR of 1.1, gain is 5.51 dB and directivity is 4.24 dB.
