Abstract:
The reduction of the number of Transmit/Receive Modules (TRMs) is addressed for an array with elements arranged in a regular triangular lattice. The savings of sources is pursued by using a partition of the array into subarrays defined by using a Penrose tessellation algorithm. The conflicting objectives of minimizing the number of TRMs and the peak side lobe level and, at the same time, providing a wide scan with high gain is faced by using a Pareto multiobjective optimization.
