Abstract:
The THz waves have high speed, large bandwidth, large capacity, miniaturized antenna sizes for the future generation of wireless communications like AI, ML, AR, VR, data, imaging and extremely low latency transmit and receive applications. An optimized photonic band gap (PBG) MIMO antenna with high isolation and extremely large bandwidth is proposed on the polyimide substrate of size 1505×646 µm2 for 0.443-0.807 THz frequency band (BW = 0.363 THz). The proposed MIMO has gain 4.79-7.59 dBi, radiation efficiency 65.70-86.67%, total efficiency 61.53 - 85.61 %, and isolation> 18 dB in the proposed band.
