Abstract:

With the improvement of urban intelligence, trajectory prediction technology can accurately predict the future trajectory of pedestrians to reduce collisions and avoid human-vehicle conflicts. Pedestrian trajectory prediction is important for developing smart cities and improving traffic safety. This paper analyses the trajectory choices of pedestrians under extreme and normal conditions, such as subjective emergencies, extreme weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.) and darkness. A web-based questionnaire survey was conducted using the software "Questionnaire Star" and the data collected was processed and visualised for analysis. This paper compares the trajectory choice of pedestrians' willingness to travel under normal and extreme conditions and examines the impact of pedestrians' willingness to travel under extreme conditions on the choice of a wide but distant road versus a rugged but close road.
