Abstract:
A class of collaborative sensor nodes form a Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN). The senor nodes in the network is termed as specks or sensors or nodes. These specks are self organized with minimum power and minimum cost and they are responsible for communicating with each other in the sensing field with the help of application specific routing algorithms. As to any network the need of an hour constraint is to obtain maximization of network lifetime with minimum energy consumption of nodes. Distributed Energy Efficiency Clustering (DEEC) protocol is one of the protocol which signifies the essence of the energy consumption of nodes. There are exists many variants of DEEC protocol. We proposed an improved method of DEEC which utilizes less energy consumption of nodes when compared with DEEC and two variants of DEEC protocols. Simulation results ameliorate better performance in terms of energy consumption of nodes, throughput, etc when compared with DEEC and variants of DEEC.
