Abstract:

This paper studies electromagnetic of the 60GHz millimetre wave transmission in the scenarios of chip wireless interconnection. In the two situations that sending antenna and receiving antenna are placed vertically and in the same horizontal line or not, with the monopole antenna as the research object, the radial component of the role in the complete electromagnetic propagation is studied with complete electromagnetic propagation theory. Moreover, compared with traditional far field analysis, the complete electromagnetic propagation analysis was studied and we have made the numerical simulation. The results show that 3 times of the wavelength is the boundary value, and that when the horizontal distance between sending antenna and receiving antenna is less than the boundary value, we should make certain correction to the traditional far field analysis. This paper provides the theory basis of the electromagnetic propagation for application of 60GHz millimeter-wave in inter/intra chip wireless interconnection.
