Abstract:

In recent years, the deterioration, eutrophication and other water pollution problems are increasingly serious in Taihu lake, which have become new constraints of regional development. Based on GIS, most applications of Taihu lake relevant research were mainly emphasized on the traditional GIS data management and analysis, which lacked three-dimensional water pollution dynamic process simulation. On the basis of the Taihu lake 3D water contamination transportation model, the concentration field in Tai Lake region is simulated. Tri-prism volume elements discretization method and surface rendering method are adopted in the paper. Combined the VTK visualization library, the three-dimensional visualization of Taihu Lake Basin TP concentration field of numerical simulation process is expressed which can visualize the dynamic process of contaminants transportation. And the simulation results provide the decision support for comprehensive treatment of Taihu Lake's water pollution and eutrophication.
