Abstract:
The parameters of electrical machines with a rather long rotor (L/D>3-4) and electromagnetic fields distribution in an active zone, as a rule, are determined on the basis of two-dimensional electrodynamic problem solutions. At an analytical solution of electrodynamic problems it is usually supposed, that the magnetic permeability of the electric motor materials are constant. This restricts application of such methods in concrete developments of electrical machines. The way to take into account the magnetic properties of the electric motor materials, and also geometry of a tooth zone of the machine is using of numerical calculations of electromagnetic fields by a finite element method (FEM). In this article the technique allowing to make detail calculations of working processes and output parameters of a high-temperature superconductive reluctance motors (HTS RM) at specified voltage of a power network with the help of a FEM application program package "Quickfield v.4.1" is explained. The results of numerical calculations of concrete versions of HTS RM design are given.
