Abstract:

In this article, we delve into a comparative analysis of three popular object-tracking algorithms: DeepSORT, StrongSort, and ByteTrack. These algorithms share a common approach, as they are designed to identify objects within video frames and establish connections between them across consecutive frames. However, what sets them apart is their distinctive methodology of association. We will dive into the strengths and weaknesses of each algorithm, offering a comprehensive evaluation. In addition, these methods are thoroughly evaluated on a benchmark data set, with the results revealing the essential balance to be found between accuracy and efficiency when it comes to object tracking.
