Development of a prototype translator from Circus to CSPm

In this paper, we present our approach towards developing a prototype tool which translates a LaTeX based `Circus' specification into its equivalent machine readable Communicating Sequential Processes (CSPm) notation. The paper describes the methodology adopted for the design of the tool while walking through a simple translation example. The value added by this developed prototype tool is automatic code generation from imperative state-rich formal specification language `Circus' to equivalent CSPm output which can directly be fed into the industry proven Failures-Divergence Refinement (FDR) model checker.
