The Second World War and industrial development in Siberia

At the beginning of the Second World War (in Russia it is called Great Patriotic War) the Soviet Union performed enormous operation having no analog in the history — hundreds of factories and plants were moved from the European part of the country over thousand of kilometers to the east — to the Ural, Siberia and the Far East. These evacuated factories formed the ground of industrial development of the Eastern part of the country and the Central Asia Republics during the second part of the XX
