A Contribution to the IEEE STD. 1451.2-1997 Revision and Update

After a technical overview of the IEEE 1451 family of standards, detailed descriptions of implemented Smart Transducers Interface Modules (STIM) and Transducer Interface Modules (TIM) either using 10-wire Transducer Independent Interface (TII) or USB are presented. These experimental research results aim to be a small contribution for the IEEE STD. 1451.2-1997 revision and update.
