Optical amplifier based on a 7-core fiber for telecommunication satellite purposes

We present a 7-core radiation hardened optical fiber amplifier for application in telecommunication satellites. The amplifier is part of a solution that aims to overcome bottleneck problems associated with satellites, such as size and weight reduction together with information capacity growth.
