Applying fiber optic and telecom technologies for multiphoton biomedical imaging

The main characteristics of the pulsed excitation source, such as wavelength, pulse energy, and repetition rate, for multiphoton biomedical imaging are discussed. Recent advances in these sources using fiber optic and telecom techniques are presented.
