Opto-electronic time-frequency domain sampling for ultra high-bandwidth multi-carrier signal detection

We review opto-electronic time-frequency domain sampling techniques based on coherent matched detection. Ultra-wideband multi-carrier signals, at 100 Gbps or higher, are demultiplexed and all sub-channels are detected without relying on time-or frequency-domain sampling approaches.
