All-optical tag comparator for 10Gb/s WDM-enabled optical cache memory architectures

We demonstrate an optical tag comparator for optical cache memory peripheral circuitry that decides upon cache “hit” or “miss” controlling the access of a 4-bit WDM-encoded optical word at 10Gb/s line-rate into a cache line.
