Modeling of the nonlinear signal propagation in multi-mode fibers with SDM

We present an analytical model for the nonlinear interference in multi-mode fiber SDM systems and verify it with numerical simulations. The model allows general predictions for nonlinear system implications even in fibers with many modes.
