An experimental analysis of the system performance of cascades of 1.3 /spl mu/m semiconductor optical amplifiers

A series of 10 Gbit/s transmission tests over a variety of cascades of 1.3 /spl mu/m semiconductor optical amplifiers are performed. An analysis of the parameters relevant to system design is detailed.
