Climate change is proving to be one of the most complex and difficult challenges of our time. The human sources of climate change—such as the use of fossil fuels and the production of gases in landfills—are scattered all over the globe and woven into enormous systems that structure and support our everyday lives. To make an immediate impact on the sources of the problem requires radical changes at every level of society—from international governance bodies to individual family units. Thus far, many countries have found it politically difficult to make such radical transformations.
