EMI and EMC of Switching Power Converters

This chapter reviews the fundamentals of EMI, including the basic terminology and categories of EMI, the various coupling and propagation mechanisms, the causes and effects of low‐frequency disturbances, the generation of high‐frequency disturbances (both differential mode and common‐mode), and the various EMC regulations. A flyback converter is used to illustrate the source and spreading route of EMI of switching converters.
