In the previous chapter, we saw how the Super Famicom's Mode 7 graphics could stand as a shiny piece of silverware, capable of putting twinkles in the eyes of guests at the grand table and enhancing usual meals with a little je ne sais quoi—some spicy rotation here, a pinch of scaling there, the occasional dash of reflection, and a helping of translation.
