Radiation, Scattering, and Diffraction

Chapter 2 describes how sound waves react under impedance mismatch in space and time using the concept of radiation, scattering, and diffraction. To understand these phenomena, the basic unit phenomena that make every possible acoustic wave in space are addressed. These are the radiation of a breathing sphere and trembling sphere, which are, in fact, quite similar to what we have learned with regard to a monopole and dipole.
