8 Greening Intimate Publics

In this chapter, we discuss how mobile media might be engaged to generate ways of resolving the disconnections that, we have argued, frame much of the existing methodological paralysis around the question of how to address questions of climate change through art. In the preceding chapters, we have shown how there are two key disconnects in the ways that mobile media and arts practice are situated in the Asia-Pacific. Here we discuss the potential of mobile media art to question waste and the impact of the digital on the material.
