Most technical professionals take the professional part of their title very seriously. Therefore, they tend to avoid the appearance of being nosy or prying when it comes to the work tasks of others. Successful technical managers, engineers, and technologists know that everyone has different capabilities, competencies, and standards. They must understand that leaving people alone to do their work is not the height of excellent management. It is a signal of avoidance and ineffective leadership.
