Prediction, Detection and Classification Techniques of Faults, Errors and Failures

Chapter 7 firstly depicts status of single event effect (SEE) concerns/problems in various industry fields, emphasizsing the SEE impacts are spreading very rapidly and widely in industries and everyday lives. Prediction and detection techniques have primary importance to cope with the problems and screening studies are made for those techniques in each engineering layer. To establish mitigation techniques, it is also important to know the nature of faulty conditions. Towards this goal, classification techniques of faulty conditions are surveyed. Some limitations in current techniques are discussed.
