Tracking and Fault Detection Issues in Nonlinear Control Systems

Operator-based tracking controller design schemes and fault detection methods are developed in this chapter as an extension of robust right coprime factorization. The chapter discusses the tracking problem of nonlinear control systems with perturbations based on robust right coprime factorization. The robust stability of the system and the output tracking problems are discussed. The chapter also talks about the robust control of the nonlinear feedback system with unknown perturbations. Using the operator-based robust right coprime factorization, the chapter describes a fault detection system for an actuator and a fault detecting tracking operator for an uncertain aluminum plate thermal process control system with input constraints.
