Disturbance Observers

This chapter presents the design of disturbance observers and their application in the realization of control structures. The emphasis is on salient properties and application issues. Design and analysis are given for linear and nonlinear disturbance observers. A detailed analysis is presented for motion control system dynamics with a disturbance observer. The examples illustrate all major issues.
