Effect of GA3 and S3307 on Content of Taxol and Its' Precursors of Taxus cuspidate In Vitro

Young shoots, collected from about 100 trees, were sprayed on 10 mg/L Sumiseven (S3307) and 100 mg/L Gibberellin (GA
₃
) separately., and investigated for their contents of 10-deacetyl Baccatin III (10-DAB), Baccatin III and Paclitaxel (Taxol) at different time in order to get a better understanding of the synthesis mechanism of taxol in vitro. The result shows that S3307 and GA
₃
change the metabolism of the three taxanes, and improve the contents of the three taxanes at some degree. We suggest that the effect role occurs before the biosynthesis of 10-DAB.
