A constraint on the zeros of ternary polynomials

Information on the location of the zeros of polynomials with coefficients in
{0,1, - 1}
is useful in the study of some structures for the VLSI implementation of FIR digital filters. This letter shows that those zeros are confined to a ring-like region of the complex plane.
