Magnetic properties of multilayer films of FeNi-Mn-FeNiCo and of FeNi-Mn

Experiments made on multilayer evaporated thin films with a structure FeNi-Mn-FeNiCo and FeNi-Mn exhibit strong evidence of a ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic exchange coupling between the ferromagnetic film of FeNi and a transition layer at the FeNi-Mn interface obtained by mutual diffusion of Mn and FeNi at 300°C.
