Classification Using Radial Basis Function for Prediction of Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's is a disease of the nervous system which is a progressive in nature. The main cause of this disease is damaged neurons in the brain which are responsible for generating dopamine. This results in people not being able to control their body part movements which affect their day to day activities badly. More than 6 million individuals worldwide have Parkinson disease. These symptoms keep growing over time, till the patient realize they have Parkinson's disease. This paper aims to employ Radial Basis function for predicting of presence or absence of Parkinson's disease using the Motor Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale and Total Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale score. An accuracy of 97% percent has been obtained in this work.
