Detection and Classification of Retinal Diseases using Image Compression

The Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an eye imaging technique, which capable of detecting macular edema in advanced and initial stages. These images are required more memory space; hence compression algorithms are essential. The essential goal of this research work is to propose novel 3D robust sparse (3D_RS) compression algorithms and efficiency and accuracy of for OCT images. The 3D_RS Encoding is encoding the data in three dimensions. The proposed architecture properly reconstructed the OCT images and had a very similar visual look to the input images. The efficiency of the scheduled work is corralated with the BPG, JPEG, WebP, JPEG 2000 and RNN methods [28]. From the experimental outcomes, the proposed 3D robust sparse algorithm provides a better result than other approaches.
