Analysis of Requirements and Architecture of the Next Generation Flight Management System

The increase in air traffic flow and the increase in environmental awareness have put forward higher requirements for today’s air navigation systems. How to apply new technologies to safely solve these problems is a problem that the new generation of air navigation systems needs to address. As the air node in the navigation system, the flight management system plays an important role in ensuring flight safety and reducing environmental impact. Through the analysis of the research status of the air navigation system, the functional requirements of the new generation flight management system are sorted out and analyzed, and the typical functions are further analyzed. Take a flight management system architecture as an example to demonstrate how to meet the functional requirements of the new generation flight management system, and analyze the important modules in the system. On this basis, it is recommended to further study the technical direction of the new generation flight management system.
